"I came to WFES to speak on behalf of the Global Energy Prize. It acknowledges best scientists from all over the world for innovations that promote energy efficiency, help reduce energy consumption and thus benefit the whole humankind! I received the Global Energy Prize in 2015 and this is a great honor. But what's important the most is the spot-line it shines on my technology: the prize is widely known all around the world so the attention it brings to my innovation helps ordinary people understand the importance of white LED lightning! It is important for me as a scientist that I created the product which is being widely used and which helps address the vital problem of global climate change.

Tomorrow I will be speaking on the importance of partnerships between science, business and government in terms of what this cooperation can deliver and how it can build sustainable solutions."
