Nitrides Seminar - Christopher Pynn, Graduate Student Researcher

2/14/2018 12PM ESB 1001

In the first part of this talk, we report our progress towards improved light extraction engineering in freestanding semipolar LEDs using Langmuir-Blodgett lithography to create micro-roughened scattering interfaces.

In the second part of this talk, we discuss device and epitaxial design of long-wavelength volumetric flip-chip LEDs. An ohmic Ag-based mirror was optimized for high reflectance (%R~90%) and low contact resistance (ρ c ~ 1x10 -4 Ωcm 2 ).
