Nitrides Seminar - Dr. Shomo Mehari, Postdoctoral Researcher, Materials
11/30/2017 12PM ESB 1001
Shlomo Mehari received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2016, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2012, the B.Sc. degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2009, and the B.Sc. degree in Physics in 2009 from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.
During his Ph.D., Shlomo studied electron trapping effects in III-Nitride HEMTs; he developed a methodology that allowed to identify the spatial location and energy of electron traps in the heterostructure. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher with the UCSB Materials Department and SSLEEC working on the development of III-Nitride high-power LDs for solid-state lighting systems under the ARPA-e program.
