Na flux grown bulk GaN crystals at UCSB with a focus on impurities and their effect on the crystal transparency

In the first part of this seminar, I will present three bulk GaN growth techniques with a focus on the sodium flux technique and its main achievements. In addition, I will address the sodium flux growth system at UCSB, its advantages, disadvantages, and growth results. In the second part, I will address the impurities (oxygen, sodium, carbon, and molybdenum) which are present in our bulk GaN.
