Professor John Bowers to retire after 38 years at UC Santa Barbara

I will be retiring July 1, although I plan to continue research. I am very grateful for the many students, postdocs, visitors and friends who came to UCSB last Friday to celebrate, reminisce and connect with friends. I have been so lucky over the past 38 years to have worked with such brilliant people and they have gone on to great success. THANK YOU!
