Inspiring 8th grade student poster: blue LED and Shuji Nakamura stories; other inventors and innovators

My name is Lancelot Leitner and I attend the Prospect Sierra school, currently in grade eight. My class is beginning our final project of the year, a research paper and slideshow on a topic/thesis of our choice. I chose the topic/thesis: “Big, breakthrough ideas and inventions are often ridiculed and doubted on before they succeed by people with a limited mindset. The inventors though, think differently, with a limitless mindset; inventors such as Thomas Edison, Karl Benz, Steve Jobs, and Shuji Nakamura.” 

Additionally, we must also interview someone with expertise in our topic area. I thought there would be no better person to interview than the inventor of the blue LED himself.
